Concept Plastics, a Division of Urus Industrial Corporation, is relocating their Mississauga, Ontario plastic manufacturing operation to Brantford creating 35 – 45 jobs. Concept Plastics will co-locate with Vacform Plastics located at 27 Catherine Avenue. The company specializes in injected moulded high tech products and plans to be fully operational by the end of 2014. To accommodate the relocation, Koolatron Corp. which is headquartered and operates also out of 27 Catherine Avenue have acquired the former Nichirin automotive building on Copernicus Blvd. and will move their office and production into the 67,000 sq.ft facility by September 2014. When in full production, the three operations will employ 195 people collectively and occupy 137,000 sq.ft. of space at their two Brantford facilities.
