The Connect2Skills warehousing – logistics training program is a SkillsAdvance Ontario project administered by the Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie and funded by Employment Ontario. The project trains local people with the technical, essential and employability skills needed in Brantford-Brant’s warehousing and logistics industry.
Warehousing-logistics is Brantford-Brant's 4th largest employer and is expected to grow by another 20% between now and 2021. The program was created in consultation with local employers who had input on the curriculum, to address the labour shortage and bridge the gap in finding skilled candidates for the right jobs.
For job seekers, Connect2SKILLS offers 6 weeks of FREE classroom training in Brantford and 2 weeks PAID job placement to prepare for the warehousing-logistics industry in the Grand Erie area. Potential career opportunities include shipper & receiver, material handler and dispatcher.
