Massilly North America celebrated the opening of a 42.2K s.f. warehouse facility expansion today. The addition of new high speed printing and stamping equipment to facilitate the growth of sales led to a shortage of storage space in their facility building. The company held a significant portion of finished goods inventory in third party warehouses around the Brantford area. The new facility improves logistical and customer support, enabling them to deliver products more efficiently and with greater control.
Massilly is aiming to create around 4,000 pallet positions of high density racking. This racked warehouse will be fully automated, utilizing Hyster Automated forklifts to pick up product from our automated packaging line and put it away in the racking. The forklifts will also deliver products from the warehouse to a staging area for shipment.
On hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony were (left to right in photo) Sara Munroe -- Director, Economic Development, Tourism and Cultural Initiatives, City of Brantford; David Prang -- Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant CEO; Linda Hunt -- City of Brantford Councillor; Garnet Lasby -- President of Massilly North America; Will Bouma -- Member of Provincial Parliament for Brantford-Brant.
