On March 22, 2019, the City of Brantford Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) and the Rotary Club of Brantford shared a positive economic message as the City continues to experience steady growth and diversify and develop its economic base through the attraction of small and medium sized firms. The Committee’s annual Industrial Appreciation event was held at the Brantford Golf and Country Club and marks the eleventh year in a row that EDAC has partnered with the Rotary Club.

“Recognizing the valuable contribution that industry makes to the economic development of the City of Brantford is vital,” states Committee Chair Allan Lovett. “Brantford continues to be an excellent location for new business, as well as existing business, to grow and succeed. Last year continued the trend of Brantford being a location of choice for business, as we welcomed 12 new industrial businesses to the City.”
The Industrial Appreciation event annually recognizes new industrial firms opened in the past year, long-standing companies established 45 years ago, and a Brantford Ambassador award. This award is presented to an individual or organization who through their own efforts has promoted and contributed to Brantford’s economic development.
“We’re very grateful to the Rotary Club for allowing our committee the opportunity to be partners in introducing and welcoming the City’s newest industrial corporate citizens, recognizing longstanding manufacturing mainstays and saluting exceptional Brantford ambassadors,” stated Lovett. “This event allows us to formally and publicly recognize the contribution their investments are making to the economic development of the City of Brantford.”
Twelve new industries established in 2018 were recognized this year: TW Trade, Rotalec, Intelcom Express, APC Auto Parts, 48 North, UTS Consultants, Dohey Manufacturing Inc, Cutting Edge Tools Inc, KOOLJET, TexTrail Trailer Parts, OmniCoil Spring Works Inc. and Trakar Products Inc.
Three Long-Standing companies established 45 years ago in 1973 were recognized: ACIC Pharmaceuticals Inc., The Marco Corporation, and Beck's Printing Services.
The Economic Development Advisory Committee selected Vicano Construction Limited as their Member Brantford Ambassador.
