Last week, Mayor Davis embarked on a trade mission to Europe visiting Flora Food Group in the Netherlands and GIZEH Verpackungen in Germany before attending the Anuga Food Fair, the largest food and beverage tradeshow in the world hosted in Cologne.
The trip is part of the City’s growing Foreign Direct Investment strategy aimed at strengthening trade between Brantford and markets beyond North America. The research leading up to the trip and the cost of the trip were supported with a matching grant secured from the federal government through the CanExport program.
Joe Muto, the City’s Director of Economic Development, Tourism, and Cultural Initiatives, also accompanied the Mayor on the trip.
For more information on the trip, check out the recent article on the Brantford Expositor website.
