Connecting Companies to Federal and Provincial Resources

On Tuesday morning, the City of Brantford Economic Development team hosted local industrial companies for a session focused on federal and provincial resources, services, and programs available to support business growth.

Utilizing the Council Chambers and its video conferencing capabilities, approximately 50 representatives from more than 30 companies participated both in person and online. Topics included accessing funding opportunities, managing economic uncertainty, supporting business growth, expanding into new markets, and building stronger networks.

Our team works closely with federal and provincial partners to provide businesses with coordinated support and access to resources. This event was an extension of those efforts.

We are grateful to the partners who took the time to join our panel and share valuable information with Brantford’s industrial business community. Their ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses reflects one of Brantford’s greatest strengths: a collaborative community with innovative companies and significant growth potential.

Thank you to our distinguished speakers:

  • Ismael Enrique Cepeda, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)
  • Adrian Skowron, Export Development Canada (EDC)
  • Stephen Barath, Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario)
  • Erin Panek, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness
  • Fabiola Stevens, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade
